Success to a lot of people means:
High paying job.
The career that parents wanted them to have.
A certain amount of money or net worth.
Nice car and house.
Title or status.
Beach body.
We have all been condition from when we were young, perhaps not always intentionally, but in some cases extremely targeted (advertising, media, social media and culture) on who to 'be'.
The other problem is all those things listed above are not permanent and can be taken away quickly.
We either feel like we are lacking if we aren’t there,
Or we get there and fear losing it,
Or we keep chasing after we get there.
Don’t get me wrong, those are fine things to aspire to if that is truly what you want at your core.
But start by asking what it is that you truly want aside from the influence of everything we've been told to want in life.
For me, it’s freedom, and having lots of money doesn’t make you free if you worry about losing it.
A few things that define success for me:
Having more than I need (abundance with no ‘number’ attached).
The journey.
The person I become along the way.
Air in my lungs every morning.
Health and fitness.
Relationships and family.

Do you want to be successful?
We spend the first quarter of our lives as human beings, developing, preparing, and trying to become ready to be successful human beings. And yet the reality is so many of us, 10 years into the workforce, 20, 30 years into our career, we start wondering, did we make the right actions and decisions and lived up to those childhood expectations?
Each and everyone has a different definition of success, whether it be on their personal or professional lives. A standard baseline is money, career & power. If that is the category you focus on to evaluate someone’s success, then roughly less than 1% of the world’s population achieves this to the greatest or highest levels possible.
But if you don’t agree with this standard baseline, then it is possible to achieve success. And that is through mindset.
This week’s guest is Simon Parsons, a badass activation coach who is passionate about intentional mindset work that can massively increase performance in the professional setting. From meditation, visualization, mindset tools, and hacks can make work incredibly more fulfilling, productive and increase results.
