AI Disruption: Your 24-Month Warning! How to Thrive in the Knowledge Economy

A few weeks ago, I got a message from the team of best-selling author Derek Rydall (Emergence & The Abundance Project) that he had an important topic he wanted to share with my audience of course creators, coaches, and content creators:  

You have about 24 months to prepare for the disruption that will come from AI. 

Most of us see AI as a good thing because it makes content creation such as copywriting or creating a post or generating images or the outline of a course so quick.  

While that is true, it’s going to exponentially grow the amount of content being produced. 

Millions of books. Millions of podcasts. Millions of blogs and articles. Added every single day.

Exponentially more content coming online in the next few years, creating what I call “content inflation”, the devaluing of what you are putting out there. 

We live in a day and age where people are so distracted and lack focus. The attention span is around 8 seconds.  

It’s hard enough to carve out your brand on social media these days, but what happens when so much more content comes online? How will you make your mark? How will you stand out? How will you be able to cut through the noise as an entrepreneur? 

Massive amounts of jobs will be replaced due to AI.  

College will no longer be able to prepare people for the job market due to high costs and not being able to keep up to date with how fast technology moves.    

Sounds pretty bleak, right?  

Actually, if you are a content creator or what I call a ‘knowledge broker’ (course creator, coach, teacher), I think this could be one of the biggest opportunities since the industrial revolution.

I believe we are heading into the Knowledge Economy.  Those who know how to build their brand, their audience, grow their traffic and capture attention and teach information that schools cannot keep up with will have a massive advantage and be able to create generational wealth. 

Those who do not will get left behind.
