19 Excuses You Can Use To Get Out Of Chasing Your Life's Dream

 No judgment for anyone that doesn't want to pursue their passion or dreams.

It can be an absolute grind, full of failure, full of uncertainty, full of disappointment and unfilled expectations.

But it can also be the greatest feeling in the world and give you a life full of purpose and unlimited energy!

There will be external things that become obstacles that get in the way, and if you are focused and determined, you will find away around or through them!

But if you choose the path of chasing your passions, don't the inevitable internal obstacles stop you!

1 - The limiting beliefs that lie in your subconscious mind: self doubt, imposter syndrome, self image/worth; the beliefs that you have acquired through life that hold you back. Many of them placed on you by others or by society.

2 - The 'reasons': the excuses, the justifications, the stories that you consciously create to avoid failure and the inevitable success that you could have if you find a way!

Here's the thing about excuses and/or 'reasons': the end result is nothing happens, no action taken, same life that you've always had.

Here are the 19 most common excuses, compiled by Vayner Media (Gary Vee's company) of excuses that people give for not taking action towards their dreams:

1. I have a full time job.
2. I don't have any money.
3. I have kids.
4. I don't have time. 
5. My industry has too many strict rules.
6. I have an idea for an app, but I don't know how to code.
7. My parents don't get it.
8. My family is holding me back.
9. I'm afraid my friends will get ahead of me.
10. I still haven't finished the books assigned by my life coach. 
11. No one was watching.
12. Only a few people were reading.
13. I don't know which idea to pursue. 
14. I don't have the right equipment. 
15. I don't know where to start.
16. I'm too old. 
17. I'm an artist, not a business person.
18. I'm not into anything monetizeable. 
19. I'm afraid I'll get hate comments. 

As you can imagine, I hear similar 'reasons' (ahem, excuses) that people give me for not chasing their dreams. 

Here's the thing, they don't need to convince me, I'm not the one they are lying to....
